Cabo San Lucas is a spectacular destination, and for most people there is usually too much to do and not enough time to do it all. However, there are those who have been to Cabo before who have seen much of what Cabo has to offer, and have a hankerin' to explore the areas outside of Cabo.
Carlos Fiesta understands those who are curious about what lies around the next corner, and has explored much of the terrain north and east of Cabo San Lucas.
Although there are some very awesome inland destinations not too far from Cabo, much of what the Cape has to offer is along the coast. The destinations below offer those adventurous travellers a place to explore for a multi-day road trip.

Until Los Cabos came around La Paz was the biggest town in souther Baja. It's still a great place to spend a few days and offers many of the watersports option that Cabo offers, including diving and kayaking.
There are two ways to get to La Paz from Los Cabos. The western route goes through Todos Santos before heading inland to La Paz, and the eastern road runs right by Buena Vista before heading inland to La Paz. These are both excellent places to stop and get a bite to eat.
The hot tip in La Paz? Lunch on the beautiful beaches of Tecolote 15 minutes northeast of town.

Are you looking for a real adventure? About 8 hours north of Los Cabos lies the sleepy fishing village of San Juanico. This is not a tourist destination, just a real-live Mexican pueblo.
The last 20 miles is a poorly maintained dirt road, which keeps all but the bravest gringos at bay. If you make it to town you have earned a cold beer at the Scorpion Bay Cantina, on the bluffs above the point.
Surfers have been coming to San Juanico for years, but now other rugged souls are dropping by to "drop out" for a few days.
The hot tip? Pizza and cervesa at Don Alarcon's Pizza at the west end of town!

Located on the Sea of Cortez about 250 miles north of Los Cabos, Loreto was the original capital of all of the Californias. Today it is a relaxing mix of tourists and locals, and a great destination for those who like to fish.
There are spectacular beaches on the islands just offshore, and these hidden coves are the perfect place for a mid-day picnic.
Golfers enjoy the slow pace of play at Loreto's golf course, and a first class tennis facility is also available. Those looking for first class lodging have a couple of options, including the Posada de los Flores near the town square and the Camino Real south of town at Nopolo.
The hot tip? Beakfast at Cafe Ole near the town square. With a walk along the oceanfront Malecon afterwards!

Bahia Concepcion and the nearby village of Mulege make a great road trip. Bahia Concepcion offers beautiful shallow beaches and coves, perfect for pulling a good book and just hanging out.
Mulege is located about 30 minutes north of Bahia Concepcion. This is the typical sleepy Mexican village, with a town square and a river running through town. An old church sits on a hill overlooking town and the river.
Some visitors enjoy spending the days lounging on the beaches of Bahia Concepcion, and then enjoying a nice dinner and drinks in the evening in Mulege.
The hot tip? The Saturday night Pig Roast at the Serenidad Hotel. Bring a camera!
