    CABO SAN LUCAS AIRPORT LIMO

There are a variety of ways to get from the Los Cabos International Airport to the hotels in San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Buses run about $15, taxi cabs run about $60, and shuttle vans run about $75. These vehicles are all set up to transport the masses from the airport to the Tourist Zone, but not necessarily in any particular comfort or style.

As it turns out (to no one's surprise) the cheaper the mode of transportation is the longer it generally takes to get from point A to Point B. The airport buses stop a lot, and the taxis and vans also make their fair share of stops along the way if you are riding with other vacation achievers. By far the quickest (and most expensive) way to get from the airport to the hotels is by limo.

It is possible to catch a limo out in front of the airport without a reservation. Just drop by the information desk after you have picked up your luggage.

Cabo just seems a little nicer when viewed from the inside of a limo!

For about $100 (plus tip) 6 to 8 people can travel in style to the hotel, enjoying the spectacular Los Cabos coastline all the way. And don't be shy if you want the driver to stop for cold drinks and a snacks for the road, most Cabo limo drivers are happy to oblige.

The cost of taking a limo really isn't much more than taking a cab or a van when traveling with a group. As an example, if 3 couples hire a limo the cost per couple is only $35. Not a bad price to pay to arrive in style at your vacation destination relaxed and in the mood.

A word to the wise. There are two ways to get from the Los Cabos International Airport to Cabo San Lucas. The 'old' road is Baja Highway One, and trudges through several miles of traffic signals and traffic. The 'new' shortcut scenic road avoids all of that drama, and runs along the base of the mountains west of the airport completely uninterupted.

Why don't all the buses, taxis, shuttles and limos take the scenic road? It's a matter of money...the fast road is a toll road. If a driver can save the $5 toll fee they will usually try to do so. Your best bet is to request the toll road to your driver right up front. If he complains about the toll fee, tell him "no problema"....you'll pick up the tab. For the time you save and the beauty you are exposed to it's a price well worth paying.
